I am a first-generation Luxembourg-American with a love of technology, art, and business.
My passion for UI/UX design flowed naturally from my previous career pursuits. Previous positions have included work as a robotics engineer, management consultant, and more recently a fine artist and self-publisher. As a result, my career path has been technical, creative, and entrepreneurial. I love the field of UI/UX because it brings all of these disciplines together. Solving business problems with a balance of practical function and aesthetic form is what makes me tick.
As a designer, I learn by observation and inspiration. I am insatiably curious about the world. My work and studies have brought me to over thirty countries on four continents. This has included living in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, Japan, and Luxembourg. Experiences such as these are important not only to my designer’s sense of inspiration but also to exercising adaptability muscles. UI/UX design is an ever-changing world. In this realm, flexibility and a desire to learn new tools, trends, and techniques are critical. Adapting to change is a pursuit I explore with great joy and vigor.
Leaving the world a better place is very important to me. My most recent creative endeavor was a study and portrayal of history’s great peacemakers. This additional passion and insight combined with my skill set and experience are what I aim to meaningfully leverage as a UI/UX designer for an organization striving to make a positive impact.
My daughter has health conditions that have required me to home school her until recently. You can view a video of a sample school year here. She now studies independently, but my presence at home is preferred in case of medical needs. Acquiring remote work or flex time is, therefore, the most convenient.
